I’m on facebook, but really have no trouble ignoring it. Twitter and Pinterest on the other hand…

I have reduced how much time I spend on both, but actually having some nice weather here in the UK means I’m spending more time outside, so that’s made it easier.

I have plans to meet up with an English blogger and a reader of the same blog who I’ve discovered lives 3 miles away from me, so that’s meet someone new sorted!

And I have a tendency to tell people my life history with little or no invitation, so you wouldn’t scare me off

This makes me SO happy reading this! April told me that you guys met – she is a GREAT person, and I am so glad you guys got in contact! I have been feeling the same urge to try to connect to real community here (since moving and not knowing many people) and limited Facebook during Lent. It was challenging, but very worth it!

Oh, today has been lousy for me and avoiding tech distractions. I have a project I do not want to do, so I have net surfing all morning… Now it is 11:30. What have I done vs. needed to do? Barely anything and nothing which was required of me.

Meeting new people is a bit easier for me with a meetip.com knitting/crochet group which gathers at the Fireside bookstore on Thursdays. Between adoption classes, prepping for a friend’s wedding, clammering to keep up with work reports, the garden, a quilt and knitting project…. I am sad to say no community potlucks have been planned. Asked for by the neighbors, but not planned.

Okay. This is procrastinating too. I’ll go hang the laundry and clean out the car.
