So you might have noticed me tagging some posts with “postaweek2011.” That’s because I’m participating in the wordpress.com’s Post A Day/Post A Week challenge. Check it out at http://dailypost.wordpress.com. I use the word ‘participating’ loosely though. The guys & gals over at WP send out daily topics like, “If stranded on a desert island, and could only bring one music album with you, which would it be?” (I’d have to have Aerosmith O Yeah!) and “What’s going on in your life right now that’s driving you nuts?” (I think my non-look alike kids would make that post). But since I only am committed to once a week, I definitely skip a lot of the topics they suggest. I’m also mainly using it to get me to think and that usually will get me inspired to write something (though it’ll most likely be totally unrelated to the suggestion). So all that being said, you’re welcome to send me a note/kick in the pants if you haven’t seen anything new up here in more than seven days!
Last weekend, we had a birthday party for Rick’s big 3-0. I was not really up for hosting things here at the house. All the cooking and cleaning seemed too exhausting. So we decided to invite friends to go bowling! It ended up being a ton of fun. Both of the boys loved it and all our guests seemed to too. Here are the pictures… Rick scored a 176!

Hi there! Just wanted to say hi to a fellow Post-a-Week “participant” but I also saw and wanted to ask how you embedded that photo slideshow and your share bar (with the facebook, twitter, etc. buttons) into your post. I’ve been wanting to do that with my photos, and have a share bar, but I can’t edit any CSS on mine. Did that just come with your theme?
