Denver Restaurant Week 2009 is February 21-27th!
Ever heard of Denver Restaurant Week? I may have posted about it last year (but I couldn’t manage to find the post if I did). But it’s a week where many of the nicest restaurants in Denver offer a multi-course dinner for two for just $52.80! Most of the restaurants include special menu items, and dessert. Some even include a glass of wine. It’s a great deal and a great way to try a fancy new restaurant.
Last year, we went on our anniversary to Panzano, the restaurant that Rick and I ate at on our wedding day. Even though the place was packed for the $52.80 special, we when told them we had eaten there in our wedding attire 5 years earlier, they gave us a glass of champagne, and a gift certificate for a free tiramisu on our next visit.
Why $52.80? Well, if you weren’t aware, there are 5,280 feet in a mile, and that is Denver’s elevation above sea level. Hence, we’re called the Mile High City. I absolutely love Denver Restaurant Week. The timing is perfect for our anniversary, and I really love eating out at fancy restaurants. There are nearly 200 restaurants participating this year.
