Whew! What a whirlwind! The last few weeks have been crazy!
To start with, Jenny came out to Colorado to jump start her own Bubble Goddess Bath Co. business, and we had three parties while she was here, plus a Team Leader training meeting. I think Rick was feeling like our lives were suddenly nothing but Bubble Goddess!
Rick’s great grandmother in Kansas passed away right before I was scheduled to leave town. We spent a good amount of time trying to figure out logistics, between him getting out there and me going back to Texas with Jenny. After exploring all the options, we decided I should continue my trip to Texas as planned.
So, Jenny and I, and Henry and Ali, all drove back down to Texas to get her BG going there. She had a party and got signed up to do a big Holiday fair in Wichita Falls… they are expecting 10,000 people this year! What a great opportunity for her!
After a week in Texas (where Henry conveniently started biting and throwing tantrums), we flew home on a red-eye out of Oklahoma City. Henry was a doll on the plane! No crying or fussing. And the plane was less than half full so we were able to spread out and play. We bought a Whoozit and a book called “Teeth are Not for Biting” for the trip home. He liked the Whoozit, but the book held his attention the longest. And it’s helped! I haven’t been bitten since the trip!
After getting back to Denver, I’ve been playing catch up with all aspects of Schell family life. We’ve been getting Rick ready for his hunting trip this weekend, I visited my Grandpa, we harvested the garden in preparation for the first frost of the year, and for the last three days, I’ve been making invitations for Henry’s birthday party. And – Jenn moved the Bubble Goddess home office & Boutique to the DTC area, so I’ve been going down to help out there when I can too. It’s been crazy!
Oh! And this weekend, Poppy, our red chicken, finally started laying eggs! It’s been so fun to go out to the nest and find TWO eggs each day. One green (from Mayzie) and one brown. And they are both laying regular size eggs too…. not any smaller than a store bought egg anymore. And they are tasty too boot!
