On the first day of fall, we took a drive to Guanella Pass (my favorite). We started from Grant and ended in Georgetown… the oppisite way we usually go, and it was lovely! It was the perfect weekend to go… the colors were amazing!
Five years ago, when Rick & I were dating, Rick carved our initials on a tree up here… it still stands:
The day was cloudy and rainy, but we were able to get some decent pictures and enjoy a nice hike. We topped off the day with hot cider, homemade cheese caraway bread and soup at the Happy Cooker. Perfect start for fall!
