Yeah, yeah, a coop… what else?

So building a chicken coop has unintentionally become this “all consuming” project.  We’ve neglected cleaning the house, mowing the law, eating, sleeping, bathing our selves… well, ok maybe it hasn’t been that bad.  :)

Last weekend I did find time to sneak off to the Paris Street Market with my mom, down at Aspen Grove.  We had a nice afternoon window shopping and checking out all the fun goodies they had.  And what did I buy?  A window, of course!  (get it, window shopping)  Yes, an old beat up window, complete with one missing pane of glass.  But I have a plan for it.  You’ll have to wait for a picture to see if I can pull it off.  Oh, and technically, I didn’t buy the window, my mommy got it for me!

What else?  Well, on Friday last week, I got rear-ended (no Henry wasn’t with me) on Hampden.  The car behind me started going through the light we were all stopped at before I did.  The impact bent the bike rack (that my awesome sis & bro-in law gave us) into the tailgate and smashed the whole back door, shattering the window and breaking the rack.  Thankfully no one was hurt, but between the 4Runner and the Yakima rack we lost our only two modes of transportation.  Thankfully I was able to get a rental car the next morning while the truck is in the shop.

So the silver lining on all that… Yakima doesn’t make our bike rack any more, so the shop called and said that they were replacing it with the closest thing they could find: the Full Swing 4.  Yay!!!  That rack is awesome!  And now, when Henry is big enough for a bike we can carry his too!  Wahoo!!  I’m so psyched!  I know, it’s probably silly, but we really depend on the bike rack with only having one car.  Yay!!!!

Anything more?  Let me think?  Oh… Henry is on the verge of crawling.  I’ve seen him lifting his butt up off the ground more and more and once he was actually on his knees.  YIKES!!!  What am I going to do when he can go places?!?!  We took him to the doc for his 6 month check up.  He weighed 19 pounds, 9 ounces.  Wow-wee.  We’ve been swimming twice a week at the rec center and I’ve met a couple of nice moms with little girls Henry’s age that live in the neighborhood.

I’m sure there’s more, but that’s all I can think of at the moment.  More to came later I guess…
